In the past there are portraits of important people like kings, queens, leaders etc. Not all of these people are high in power, some are also the lover of the artist or even the artist themselves. Regardless, what would these people look like if they were dressed as if they were in the 21st century? More specifically, in the 2020's?
Beauty Standards
As of right now many people use social media, and social media is the #1 way of setting trends. And though this is usually done is a way to have fun, sometimes people go the extra mile to change themselves to fully fit these standards set by trends. This could include cosmetic surgery, the development of abnormal eating habits for the "perfect" body, the use of makeup, etc. (although not everyone that uses makeup does it because they want to look good for others. There are people who use makeup for themselves and others also use it as an art form.) How does this feel for those who do go the extra mile? and do people see the work they put into it?
Dreams and Nightmares
Sometimes you may have crazy and out of the ordinary dreams. Like cats flying spaceships to defeat Shrek. Maybe sometimes it's about your favorite kind of sci-fi genre, a zombie apocalypse. Not to mention there are also nightmares. Like the one of Freddy Krueger, or of your biggest fears. Whatever the dream or nightmare, you never know what to expect. Some people also interpret these and try to understand what they mean. If you were to have this dream or nightmare, would you understand what it would mean for you?
Fears.
Many people don't understand others who have a fear that they don't have. Some cannot fathom why one person may be afraid of a pattern of holes (trypophobia) or of pigs (swinophobia). Sometimes showing something is easier than putting something in words. Maybe some people will finally understand those who do have these so called 'outlandish' fears.
